Malaysia's leading aquaculture education facility, empowering the next generation of aquaculture professionals since 2010
From humble beginnings to Malaysia's premier aquaculture training destination
Cave Aqua Skills Training Center was founded in 2010 by a group of passionate aquaculture professionals who recognized a critical gap in practical, hands-on training for aspiring fish farmers in Malaysia. What started as a small demonstration farm with just three ponds has grown into a comprehensive training facility spanning over 15 acres.
Our founders, Dr. Kamarul Baharin and Professor Lim Wei Chen, brought together decades of combined experience from both academic research and commercial aquaculture operations. They envisioned a training center that would bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, ensuring graduates could immediately implement what they learned.
Today, Cave Aqua Skills stands as a testament to their vision. We've trained over 500 graduates who now operate successful aquaculture businesses across Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and beyond. Our alumni network includes small-scale farmers, commercial operators, aquaculture consultants, and even government agriculture extension officers.
To provide world-class, practical aquaculture training that empowers individuals and communities to build sustainable, profitable aquaculture enterprises. We are committed to combining scientific knowledge with hands-on experience, ensuring our graduates have the skills, confidence, and support network to succeed in the rapidly growing aquaculture industry.
To be Southeast Asia's most trusted and comprehensive aquaculture training institution, recognized for producing highly skilled professionals who drive innovation, sustainability, and economic growth in the aquaculture sector. We envision a future where sustainable aquaculture practices are the norm, food security is strengthened, and coastal communities thrive through aquaculture entrepreneurship.

Environmental stewardship is at the heart of everything we teach. We promote responsible aquaculture practices that protect ecosystems for future generations.
